Director of two road movies tinged with melancholy (Yeti and Bonne nuit, which had a big success in many festivals) and co-director of E 411, the silent portrait of a mysterious traveler, Valéry Rosier tells us about the Sundays of various characters in large, delicate, distracting and subtly burlesque sequence shots.
The best way to define his cinema is by asking him what prompted him in this direction: “Hyperrealism and sense of film-making of Austrian cinema, burlesque of Scandinavian cinema, sweetness of Italian cinema, rigorous scriptwriting and off-centeredness of Belgian cinema”.
